Flower girl

Not that it's been very chilly lately - quite the opposite - but this is a favorite photo. Earlier this month, northern Virginia had its first real snowfall (if you can call 1/8" of snow "real"). Bambi was eager to go outside and sniff about, and it seemed so appropriate that occasionally she left a "flower" print. We don't know who named her "Bambi", since it turns out Bambi was a boy, but we assume it's because of those long, long legs. But I do remember the part about Flower, Bambi's little rabbit friend. Admittedly, it's quite likely that our Bambi would want to chase Flower all over kingdom come, but that aside, it's still very cute that she leaves flower prints in the snow. :)

Doing great!

Bambi is doing beautifully! She is a sweetheart and loves everyone she meets. She's even making progress with the cats. While she still finds them very interesting, it's gotten easier to distract her with a treat or a command. She does best with our most dog-savvy cat. We continue to watch their interactions carefully - but then, Bambi is still a puppy, and we keep a close eye on her anyway. :)

This weekend, Bambi had a bath, and her coat practically glows! We all enjoyed a sunny afternoon (a rare treat, as of late), and Bambi got to work on her training outside for a change.
